Merry Christmas!!

Christmas at our house was a lot of fun as it always is. Little kids just make Christmas more magical. Harper and Carson were so excited about all their gifts, and Harper really got into the joy of giving this year. She made my parents an adorable book with the Christmas story in it. She also memorized Luke 2:10-20 so that she could recite the birth of Jesus to us just as it is in the Bible. Carson added in her "And the angel said glory to God in the highest!" They are both so precious. I loved giving them the presents I had made and bought, and their gifts to me were quite hilarious.

Harper and Carson got all things Frozen and Doc McStuffins from Santa. It was like Disney Jr. exploded in our living room. That's life with a 2 and 7 year old. Syd was more into her new letterman's jacket, map of the world that she can chart the places she has been and wants to go on, and soccer stuff. I received quite a bit of toilet paper, one from each person in my family. Syd gave me a serious of gifts from countries all of the world. I got English tea, Greek cookies, Australian soap, and Indian naan just to name a handful of them. I also really liked my new craft stuff and cookware for school.

2014 has been a busy year for us. Harper continues to ice skate and loves it to death. She took Chinese classes for a while, but is not sure if she wants to continue with them. Her reading has gotten amazing, and she loves second grade. Carson has loved library time and is getting so big so fast. She is the smartest 2 year old ever. She can count, say her ABCs, knows all her colors, and can even identify certain letters and numbers. She sings constantly, and is always joyful. Sydney did soccer again this year, and broke her wrist. She then went out for basketball and broke her finger. Over Thanksgiving break, she had surgery on it and now is the basketball bench warmer/ video filmer. She is loving the social aspect of 11th grade and will turn 17 in February. I am still at Union, and I absolutely love it! College is amazing, and I am looking forward to studying abroad in Spain this summer. My parents are both doing well. Dad just celebrated his big 50, and he is in the best shape that I have ever seen him in. He is still at Graco and travels all over the globe. My mom has been working hard with the Pampered Chef lately, and earned a trip to Disneyland this summer! She is such a great mom to us all, and spoils us to death.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Summer 2014

Summer has passed by in a blink of an eye. I'm headed back to college on Friday, and Sydney and Harper start 11th and 2nd grade on Tuesday. We have had a busy summer filled with vacations, friends, and activities. Carson and Harper are growing like weeds. Syd is super busy with soccer and LOVED a marine biology field trip she took down to the Florida Keys in June. Everyone enjoyed going to Disney for a family vacation and Nashville for Harper's China Travel Group Reunion. Harper is still ice skating, and she also enjoyed bowling, crafts, and movies with friends this summer. Carson is SO SMART. She can count past 15, sing her ABCs, and is talking up a storm. We all love her to death! She is such a happy baby and brings so much joy to us. We celebrated her 2nd birthday yesterday since I wanted to be home for it. I can't believe she is almost 2! Dad just got home from a trip to China, and my mom has been working hard on her Pampered Chef business. I have kept busy babysitting all the families that have stayed faithful to me since high school (or middle school!) and taking care of the rowdy bunch at home. It has been a short, but eventful summer.

Happy Easter!

DSC_0080[1]
Happy Easter everyone! Everyone came down to visit me (Chandler) for Easter so that I would not have to spend it alone. It was a wonderful weekend. I loved taking them to my church, getting to spend time walking around with them in the beautiful weather, and celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and savior. Carson and Harper loved Easter egg hunting, and everyone enjoyed the warmth.

Happy 7th Birthday Harper!

I cannot believe little Harper is 7 years old! The time has flown by. Harper is growing up to be a sweet, kind, thoughtful, and beautiful little girl. I love and treasure every single minute I get with her. She is such a joy.

Since I am on Spring Break and Syd is on miniterm, all of us girls were able to go surprise Harper for lunch. We brought her breakfast from Chick-fil-a since she eats at 10:20, and that is all they serve at that time. She was surprised and really enjoyed it.

Harper has been working super hard on not sucking her thumb anymore. She has not sucked since January, and Mom promised her that she could get her ears pierced on her birthday.

Harper was so brave. She did not shed one tear, and now loves her Hello Kitty earrings.

Supper was her choice of spaghetti followed by a little cake. She was so excited that she did not finish either one. It is a rare occasion for Harp to leave any dessert on her plate.

The night ended with Harper opening her presents. There was a common theme of Frozen and American Girl stuff. She was in heaven!

God's Love

O Lord my God, You have performed many wonders for us, Your plans for us are too numerous to list, You have no equal, If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them. Psalm 40:5 (NLT)
