Meet Sumo

Dear Everyone who is reading this,

Sumo (a.k.a. Harper) doesn't like pie. When Sydney asked her if she liked pie, she shook her head "NO!" That is her trick, but she has not figured out how to shake her head "yes."

Sumo also does not like Mom. Whenever she sees her, she starts to cry. Sumo LOVES Dad. She only wants to sit on his lap (like Brownie). When we were in the glass elevator, she saw Mom's reflection. She started screaming.

Right now Sumo is looking at me while eating a banana. She is finally used to eating with us, and eats 5 square meals a day (like Sumo wrestlers).

She is soooo cute! I love that nickname for her. Mom guessed that she would be attached to Mr. Mike. I miss everyone and can't wait until I see ya'll again. 9 more days until you come back, 10 more days until I see you! I've been counting since the day you left! See ya in 10 days!!

I understand how hard it must be to have Harper turn to Daddy instead of you, but I'm sure that will change in a few days. In the meantime, take lots of pictures of Harper and Daddy, and Harper and her jie jies and document everything you can about Nanchang for Harper's sake.

What a gorgeous family you are!

Well, at least when you sing "Wang-Chung" you can substitute "Nanchang" and you can be part of the people who have "Nanchang-ed tonight"...
Seriously, I have enjoyed following this, albeit behind the scenes and am very happy for you all!! And to think, I came out of the "shadows" just to use the "Wang-Chung" reference...shows you what level of brainpower I am using, lately. Ya'll be careful over there. It looks like you could hurt yourself just trying to squat-potty! Be safe, and know that we love you guys and look forward to seeing you back in the States! Chandler can eat more than peanut butter here. She can expand her menu to include pasta with nothing on it back home, right?

Happy Birthday Sydney! This is a birthday you won't forget. Wow! Aren't Mom and Dad amazing for planning this trip to China for your birthday! Ha Ha! Love seeing the pictures of Sumo (I mean Harper). She's amazing! Don't be surprised if she switches gears and only wants Mom tomorrow. Jeremiah only wanted Dad in Taiwan and now he is FIRMLY attached to me. I'm getting strong carrying both him and Noah.
Blessings,
Teresa Grimes

Kim, don't take it personally! Promise Joy did not like me at first either. She was all about daddy. PJ bonded one person at a time. Harper sure is a cutie!! Today PJ asked how long it would take for you guys to get home. We can't wait to meet her.

We cannot wait to meet our new grandbaby in person. She is so beautiful, (those black eyes and hair) we fell in love with her when we saw the picture of you holding her in your arms. We pray everyday for the rest of your journey and safe trip home. So! Chandler and Sydney how does it feel to be big sisters now. Hope you had a good birthday in China, Sydney, and that Chandler has not decided to take up residency in some remote village there. (Just kidding Chandler.) When you are not too tired or busy, more photos please.
Love to all,
Mom & Dad
PS
Sammy is running the carpet cleaner right now so you can imagine what Brownie (Barnie) is doing. She says Whine, Whine!
