Our Nations Capital

We took the girls on our first family vacation with Harper to Washington, DC. Here are some photo's of our trip. It was a very interesting trip. We saw or did the following:

1. We saw both our President and Vice President as they came into the White House
2. We unwilling participated in a Gay Pride March. You ask how we knew it was a gay pride protest, it was the man in the pink panties and butterfly wings that came running by us that gave it away, Sydney was so excited as she yelled out it isn't even Halloween and they have on costumes here in DC.
3. We rode the metro.
4. We watched a spider eat a cricket.
5. We stood at the foot of Abraham Lincoln's statute and we were proud of this great nation.
6. We visited Williams burg and stood in the pew were the great general and President George Washington had knelt and prayed for God's guidance.

I never understood what it meant to be a citizen of this great country till I stood looking out of Lincoln's memorial past Washington's monument and on to the capital; holding our little Harper, I realized that only by God's grace and the sacrifice of so many were we able to stand together on that day.

God's Love

O Lord my God, You have performed many wonders for us, Your plans for us are too numerous to list, You have no equal, If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them. Psalm 40:5 (NLT)
